At Relate Mid & East Surrey, we offer life-changing counselling for couples, families, individuals, and young people. We also provide mediation and psychosexual therapy. Our team is warm, welcoming, and passionate about making a difference – and we’d love for you to be part of it!

What’s the Role?

We’re looking for a friendly and proactive Health & Safety Volunteer to help us make sure our charity is a safe and secure place for our staff, volunteers, and clients. This is a key role in keeping everything running smoothly and ensuring we meet health and safety regulations.

If you care about people’s well-being and want to use (or build!) your skills in health and safety, this could be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Helping Keep People Safe – Spotting and addressing any risks in our offices and activities.
• Shaping Our Policies – Reviewing and improving our health and safety procedures.
• Training & Advice – Supporting our team with guidance on best practices.
• Checking Our Premises – Helping ensure our spaces and equipment meet safety standards.
• Supporting Emergency Planning – Keeping first aid and evacuation plans up to date.
• Monitoring & Reporting – Keeping an eye on health and safety regulations and letting us know about any changes.

Who We’re Looking For

• You care about health and safety and want to make a positive impact.
• Some experience in health and safety, risk management, or a similar area would be great – but if you’re keen to learn, we’d still love to hear from you!
• You’re organised and pay attention to detail.
• You can work independently but also enjoy being part of a team.
• You communicate clearly and can help others understand health and safety in a practical way.
