Health & Safety Volunteer

We’re looking for a friendly and proactive Health & Safety Volunteer to help us make sure our charity is a safe and secure place for our staff, volunteers, and clients

About the Role

We’re looking for a practical, thoughtful volunteer to help us stay on top of health and safety. You don’t need to be an expert – just someone with a good eye for detail, a sensible approach, and a genuine interest in keeping people safe.

You could help us with things like:

  • Spotting and reporting any safety risks at our centres

  • Suggesting simple ways to make our spaces safer

  • Supporting us to review health & safety policies (training provided)

  • Assisting with emergency plans and first aid checks

  • Keeping an eye on updates to safety regulations or best practices

Is This You?

This role might suit you if you:

  • Care about people’s wellbeing

  • Enjoy staying organised and noticing small details

  • Like solving practical problems

  • Have some knowledge of health & safety – or want to learn more

Whether you’re retired, building experience for a future role, or just want to give back in a meaningful way, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Get From Volunteering

  • Be part of a local charity making a real difference

  • Gain useful skills and confidence

  • Flexible volunteering – on-site or from home

  • Friendly team, full support, and training

  • Free parking or travel expenses reimbursed
